God often works, and shows his love, in mysterious ways. And at times through such ordinary happenings we mistake them for mere chance or circumstance. Like the time he used a mamma cat’s unusual behavior to encourage our grandchildren.
My children are grown and gone. I now have adult grandchildren. And still that voice so many mothers recognize accuses me. It’s that voice that shouts, “You weren’t a good mom, and you still aren’t.”
“Ooooh, she brought it out just so we could see it!” my little grandson cried, before promptly burst into tears. And at first I thought, “Oh how sweet!” But I think he was right!
